Softball From Day One

I started t-ball at four and now at sixteen I am still trying to go farther

I loved softball from day one but there was times later on where I honestly wanted to quit- I felt I was not good enough and never would be

Love Hate

“Who do you think gets mad at you when you make an error?”

My coach once asked me that and I didn't know what to say or explain the fact that I got upset. Even if someone said it's good I was still mad because I should be better

My Team

My team is the reason that I started to loosen up. I remembered it was okay to have fun and joke around at a practice . We were at the top of our game, we pushed each other to be better. We started winning, getting some fancy rings. But all things come to an end. I aged up and needed to go up from 14A to 16A but this team was young and they wanted to combine with the 12A team and stay 14s. This was the hardest thing for me but I left.

Next Up

“Be yourself.”

Right after that came high school ball and for the first time I had to play with my older sister. That was hard to be me . The season boosted my spirits but I still needed to find a competitive team

What Now

After high school season I joined a 16A team called Stealth for the summer but it folded after the start of my sophomore softball season

High school ball was mostly good and this time I was on a team without my sister and I loved it

Now

By attending this camp, I can't play competitive softball but I have plans to try out and guest play when I get back
